1885-O Morgan Dollar

The 1885-O Morgan Dollar is one of several New Orleans minted silver dollars that were released in quantity during the early 1960’s. The coins released included uncirculated coins that had been residing in vaults for decades. This great release leads the 1885-O to be readily available for collectors in grades through gem. It should be noted that many examples of this issues are not very well struck, but more sharply struck examples can be located with a bit of searching.
